2026 Call for Papers

Submission Period: March 16 – May 17, 2026

You are invited to CSCMP’s 2026 Academic Research Symposium (ARS), taking place October 3-4 in Nashville, Tennessee. The ARS is a premier platform for academic collaboration, where scholars and educators come together to explore groundbreaking research and innovative teaching methodologies. Held in conjunction with the EDGE conference, the ARS offers a unique opportunity to connect academic theory with real-world supply chain practices, fostering meaningful exchanges between researchers and industry professionals.

There are multiple ways to participate:

  • Full-Length Papers – Submit a research or teaching paper for award consideration and presentation.
  • Abstracts – Share ongoing research or teaching innovations at our expanded Poster Session.
  • Panels – Propose and moderate expert panel discussions on critical supply chain topics.
  • Reviewers – Volunteer to review submissions and support the symposium.

Research Submissions

We invite research submissions in the following formats:

  • Award Competitive Papers (≤40 pages including references, tables, and figures) – Report original research findings and contributions. Papers will be evaluated on originality, clarity, research design, and theoretical and practical impact. Accepted papers will be presented in a full session and considered for the E. Grosvenor Plowman Award. Papers exceeding 40 pages will not be considered for awards. Papers not selected for full presentation may be invited for the Poster Session.
  • Teaching Innovation Papers (≤40 pages including references, tables, and figures) – Share innovative teaching methods, pedagogical techniques, applied case studies, or new tools. Submissions will be assessed on originality, clarity, and learning outcome value. Accepted papers will be presented in a full session and considered for the Teaching Innovation Award. Papers exceeding 40 pages will not be considered for awards. Papers not selected for full presentation may be invited for the Poster Session.
  • Research Abstracts for Poster Presentation (≤5 pages) – Ideal for work-in-progress research or teaching innovations. Abstracts should include at least one figure illustrating key ideas. Building on the success of last year’s expanded poster sessions, this year’s ARS will feature more posters alongside full paper presentations. Top posters may be displayed during EDGE.
